2022 Summer Recreation Registration
Waubun Ogema White Earth Community Education is now accepting registration for the 2022 Summer Rec Program. The program will run 7:45AM-2:30PM, Monday-Thursday from June 6th through June 30th. Breakfast, lunch and transportation (stopping at certain spots) will be provided. Please return registration forms by May 20th
Swimming Lessons: Mahnomen Pool
$45- children signed up for swimming lessons must be at least 6 years old.
Must fill out separate swimming lessons registration and separate payment to the Mahnomen pool
June 6th-23rd
9:00-9:45am Levels 1-2-3-4 (bus leaves at 8:40am) ** limit 10 children per level

Thunderbirds S.O.A.R:
Grades Kindergarten thru 6th grade
Students will rotate through fun learning activities. Each day will include activities such as math, reading, arts, crafts, beading, computer coding, STEM activities, environmental science, and community service. Coordinator: Cecilia Brininger
Waubun’s Magic School Bus:
Grades 2-6- FRIDAYS IN JUNE Additional field trip options for students once a week: Fat Tire Biking, Geocoaching, go to the Splash Park and to the zoo.
Boys Baseball:
A schedule of games and practices will be handed out at practice. All participants will receive a T-shirt (to be returned at the end of the season). Dress appropriately and bring a glove (if possible). Please come to your first practice on Monday, June 6.

Current grade (2021-2022) school year should be used when enrolling students. Students must have completed Kindergarten to attend Summer Rec.
Cost: $50 fee with each additional child- $25
***Additional $45 for swimming lessons paid to the Mahnomen Pool with online registration
Financial Need: Please call Dejah’ Anderson at 218-473-6144. Students will not be allowed to participate until their fees are paid or a program scholarship or payment plan is discussed. All requests are confidential
Transportation: pick up/drop off spots: Bones, RTC, Community Center, Ogema School, Elbow Lake Church, Berry’s Bar and Waubun School- PICK UP TIMES WILL BE POSTED ON SOCIAL MEDIA AND OUR WEBSITE THE WEEK OF MAY 30th
Weather Related and Other Announcements: Listen to KRJM radio- 101.5 radio station for any changes or cancellations and return times for games. An auto alert will also be sent out to parents/guardians if necessary. Updates will also be posted on our Facebook page.
Student Conduct: All policies and rules during the school year continue during the Summer Rec program. Handbook must be signed by parents/guardians
Pictures: District 435 Community Education periodically takes pictures of participants in our classes and sponsored activities. These photos may be used in the Community Education information or other promotional materials. If you wish not to have your picture or your child(ren)s pictures taken or published, you may provide us a written notice in advance.
