Dear Waubun-Ogema-White Earth Families:
Happy Winter,
With the upcoming dangerously cold weather we are asking that students are dressed appropriately. Please make sure they are wearing boots, hats, mittens or gloves, warm jackets and snow pants if available. On the bus routes, it is possible in extreme circumstances that a student may be sent back into the house to get dressed in winter gear and end up having to be driven in by parents. We need to work together to keep our children safe and dressed to match the weather.
Our main concern is the safety of our students. Please help us maintain their safety. Beyond the dangerously cold weather that is impending, during the winter months it is important that our students come appropriately dressed so that they may enjoy outside recess when the weather permits. We appreciate your cooperation with us and look forward to continuing our work together as One Team with One Goal of student success.
Thank you,
Waubun Ogema White Earth Administration Team

Our January The Seven Grandfather Teachings Awards: January was WISDOM- Nbwaakaawin: The Beaver
To cultivate knowledge is to know wisdom, which helps us make decisions that honor our well-being. This is represented by the beaver, who patiently uses his impressive teeth and creative mind to build sustainable communities. Be humble in knowing where you excel and what your limits are, and collaborate with others who have expertise you may lack.
The beaver represents wisdom because he uses his natural gift wisely for his survival, and changes his environment in an way that best suits his life and the life of his community. Like the beaver, we must realize that everyone has something to offer and skills that they can share with others. We must work hard to open our ears and our minds and respect our teachers, our parents, and others who want to share their wisdom with us. When we understand that everyone has something to share, we gain wisdom and become better people.

Congrats to the Girls Basketball team for their outstanding win over Park Chrisian last night. GO THUNDERBIRDS!
