🌿 Exploring, Creating, and Growing at the School Forest! 🌿
There’s nothing quite like seeing the wonder and excitement in children’s eyes when they step into the School Forest! Today was filled with creativity—whipping up imaginary treats in the mud kitchen, crafting unique necklaces, and building teamwork while gathering firewood for a “bonfire.” The obstacle course was a great way for students to challenge their large motor skills, all while having a blast outdoors!
Every outdoor experience is an opportunity to learn, explore, and grow. Thank you to the amazing Kick Start team for partnering with The School Forest Teachers tp make these moments possible! 💚

A special highlight was a demonstration by Jimmy Uran from Natural Resources, who showed students the traditional way of making Pine Pitch using pine sap, bear fat, and coal. Students also engaged in a Notice & Wonder activity, which will help them develop hypothesis statements.
Additionally, they began an experiment exploring how plants obtain the materials they need to grow, investigating the role of air and water in plant development.
