Trevor was selected November Student of the Month. His teacher, Mrs. Oertwich says, “ I chose Trevor for my student of the month because he works so hard and is so kind to others! He is one of the nicest kids around with the biggest heart! Trevor will greet everyone he sees with a smile and a hello. His manners are out of this world. You can just tell he cares so much about others and their feelings! Even when things are challenging Trevor never gives up and oftentimes he is the one who is encouraging others to persevere. When in the halls at school, you can catch him saying this such as "Have a good weekend and stay healthy" to his friends. I am so incredibly proud of you, Trevor. Keep being you”
Trevor is most thankful for the whole world. He said he loves to live each day. His favorite part of school is playing outside and eating pizza. Trevor likes to watch TV at home.

Brylee was selected November Student of the Month. Her teacher, Mrs. Erickson says, “I chose Brylee as Student of the Month for November. I am so proud to have her in my class! She is such a great leader, always willing to help out her friends and teachers throughout the day! She is also very respectful, kind-hearted, and has such a warm smile. She always joins our Google Meets ready-to-learn and with excitement! She strives to do her best each and every day by raising her hand, completing her work, and participating in class. I am so proud of you Brylee, and am so lucky to have you in my class! Congratulations! :)”
Brylee is most thankful for her mom. She loves to play the card game “garbage” with her mom. Brylee’s favorite part of school is her teacher. Brylee loves the movies she gets to watch in her class. She also loves playing with toys. Brylee loves to swim at the lake in the summer. She loves to play in the snow in the winter. Brylee also has her first loose tooth!
You are such a hard worker and kind girl! Way to go, Brylee!

Finley was selected November Student of the Month. Her teacher, Mrs. Jorud says, “Finley earns this honor for her eagerness to learn and participate in class. She is always paying attention, asking questions, and giving answers. Her teachers could call on Finley every time if they wanted to, because she is right with them and their lesson. It is clear that she wants to do her best and make the most of her 3rd grade year. On top of her classroom attitude, Finley is a nice kid. She treats others well and will make friends with anyone. I enjoy having her in class!”
Finley is most thankful for her family because they are nice to her. They give her things when she doesn’t even ask for it, like presents. Finley’s favorite part of school is gym. She loves to play kickball. Finley can do a front walk-over and a front handspring. Finley likes to snowmobile, sled, ski, and ice skate in the winter.
Finley, you are an amazing child! Keep working hard!

Waubun-Ogema-White Earth Public School Tuesday , December 1, 2020
Dear Families,
We were notified by the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) that a member of the Waubun-Ogema-White Earth Public School community has tested positive for COVID-19. No dates have been identified for potential school community spread. We cannot for privacy reasons share details about the person. At this time, they are staying home and/or working at home until they are well and can no longer spread the disease.
We have worked with MDH to identify those who were in close contact with the person who tested positive for COVID-19, and no close contacts have been identified in our school community.
